The Mercedes Service Schedule consists of a “Service A” and a “Service B”. Typically, the Service A is done the first time the car reaches 13,000 miles (or 1 year) and then every 26,000 miles (two years) after that. The Service B is done the first time the vehicle reaches 26,000 miles (or two years) and then every 26,000 miles (or two years) after that, so that the A and B services alternate every 13,000 ( one year). Each model has specifics service needs at these intervals, so you may want to call about specifics, but in general, the “A” and “B” services typically includes:

Mercedes-Benz Maintenance A:

  • Change oil and filter (Synthetic oil).
  • Reset maintenance counter in instrument cluster.
  • Function Check: Warning/indicator lamps, illumination and interior lighting. Windshield wipers, rear window wiper, windshield/rear window washer. Headlamp cleaning system.
  • Inspect: Check front brake pads for lining thickness
  • Inspect tires for damage and condition. Correct tire inflation pressure.
  • Check catch, safety catch and hinges of engine hood for proper operation.
  • Check and correct fluid level: Engine cooling system, antifreeze and corrosion protection. Brake system. Windshield washer system.
  • Check Battery condition
  • Mercedes-Benz Maintenance B:

  • Change oil and filter (Synthetic oil) Reset maintenance counter in instrument cluster.
  • Replace microfilter (cabin filter). Function Check: Warning/indicator lamps, illumination and interior lighting. Windshield wipers, rear window wiper, windshield/rear window washer. Headlamp cleaning system. Check seat belts for damage and proper function. Check parking brake (function test only)
  • Check brake pads for lining thickness front/rear.
  • Check condition of brake discs front/rear. Inspect tires for damage and condition. Measure and record tread depth. Correct tire inflation pressure.
  • Leakage – Powertrain system major components. Check for chafe marks, line routing, damaged components.
  • Check condition of front axle ball joints and rubber boots.
  • Check condition of steering’s mechanical components and rubber boots
  • Leakage – Brake system major components. Check for chafe marks, line routing, damaged components.
  • Check condition of poly-V-belt.
  • Check catch, safety catch and hinges of engine hood for proper operation.
  • Check and correct fluid level: Engine cooling system, antifreeze and corrosion protection. Brake system. Power steering. Windshield washer system.
  • Battery: Check condition.
